Forlaget Unicorn

Forlaget Unicorn was founded in Denmark in January 2006 by Kirsten Aarup Sørensen. Her goal was to sell colouring books and other educational and developmental products to children and adults.

 

Besides its core publications – a range of colouring books entitled Mandalas – the publishing house offers a select variety of books, music and games.

 

So far a total of 26 colouring books have appeared in Danish, while 10 volumes are offered in Swedish and 13 in Norwegian. Forlaget Unicorn caters to the English-speaking segment with a selection of 13 colouring books.

 

As an extension of the colouring books, the publishing house has a CD with relaxing music, entitled Mandala Moods. Intended to be used as background music during colouring, it is equally well suited for general relaxation and restful enjoyment.

 

Forlaget Unicorn is continuously working to bring new products to market, all within the field of developmental and educational play. These products have a particular focus on bringing children and adults together in a fun, enjoyable setting.

 

In Denmark, Forlaget Unicorn has teamed up with internationally renowned colour-pencil manufacturers Faber-Castell. This initiative also extends into Sweden and Norway, where colouring books and colour pencils are sold side by side.
